Aquarium Advice Addict
Hey all. This is day 3 that my GSP has not opened up. At first, it was one of 3 colonies that stayed closed. Today, its all 3. I also noticed that my leather coral was closed up with no polyps extended. Of course, the first thing I did was bust out the test kit.
PH: 7.8
Ammonia: 0 PPM
Nitrite: 0 PPM
Nitrate: 10 PPM
Phosphate: 0 PPM
KH: 8 degrees
Calcium: 460mg
Salinity: 1.024
Temp: 80 degrees
I was forced to miss a water change due to some events, but have a 10% planned for next weekend. Making RO now. That should help the Nitrate.
I can't however figure out why my PH is coming in low all of the sudden.
According to my records it was staying stable at around 8. Any idea if the coral would be upset about this?
*edit* I should also note that I changed a power head direction the other day and the green stars got some extra flow. Could an adjustment in flow be making them unhappy?
