perc clown

i have a question? My perc clown has been missing for 5 days. if it is spawning should i turn off the filtration system and seperate the young? should i just leave it the way it is. any info would be nice.

It will only spawn if it has a mate, if it's been missing for 5 days...I wouldn't worry about the filter, I'd look in the rocks and behind and around the tank (although if you have a dog or a cat, that might be fruitless). More than likely your fish is dead. Do you have an overflow to a sump? Check both the overflow and the sump, they are notorious for swallowing fish.
