Will this work in testing the pH of my tank. Its a pH tester made by Oakton and said that it is waterproof and it floats. Any inputs will be much appreciated.

This should work. I would probably go for the higher accuracy one with the auto temp compensation. I uses a Hanna which is very similar in terms of design and accuracy. The only problem with any of these electronic testers is that they need to be calibrated regularly, otherwise the results would drift.
