Placement of a Tridacna maxima

Fishsupply was out of Derasa Clam, they substituted a blue Tridacna maxima instead. Tank is 31" deep with 2x250mh and 2x54 T-5 ATI Super Blue(which I guess have not affect on the placement of this clam)

I know this is one of the more light demanding of clams, should I place it about 1/2 way up on some LR, somebody told me that it may move around and fall off my LR?

Yes, if it's not happy where you put it, it will move I would try to get it within about 24" of the surface, very close to direct center under one of the bulbs and it should be fine.

yeah thats the one thing about clams I don't like.. their swimming is more like a bulldozing form, plus they almost never like where you put them... and like to tell you so
