Preparing base rock

I just picked up some base "reef rock" from my lfs and wanted to see if there is anything I should do before adding it to my tank?

Is it dry rock? Or was it already in a tank?

Its dry. I figured I would just give it a rince with RO to take off any dust (its pretty chalky) and put it in.
