Protein skimmer advice

I need to get a protein skimmer for my first SW tank. IT is a 55 gal corner tank. Will be using the "standard" setup of 1.5 x live rock with 4" DSB and a bit of live sand. I dont want a cheap skimmer that does not do the job but then again I can not justiify paying $200 plus dollars. Any recommendations?
What do most use that will get the job done?

Thanks again

What is your budget range?

We know you dont want to pay $200 but are you willing to pay $150? OR $100 ?

One thing that you really cant do is compair a sub $100 skimmer to a $200 skimmer as that would be like trying to compair a Ford Focus to a Ford Tarus.

I think 150 tops would be justifiable. Would that include the pump?

I also like the venturi style of PS since it seems that there is very little maintenance required.
