I have a porcupine puffer and i was wonderin if they tend to eat peppermint or cleaner shrimp. my puffer is only like 3 inches and doesnt show any sign of aggression toward my other tang and clown, but i am missing my peppermint shrimp, could it have dissovled and been eaten by my hermits or maybe the puffer changes attitude when the light goes out????

Most likely your puffer ate the peppermint shrimp. No inverts are really safe with them.

I tried to add some hermits with my old dog puffer and he had been in my tank 7 years with no inverts. Once I added the hermits, he was always watching them. He would pick them up on occasion. I removed them before he could eat them.

I did have 1 olive snail and 1 turbo snail last about 6 months. I moved them when I set up my other tank.
