Purple Nudibranch Revisited

Does anyone have some advice for me.

I bought a purple nudibranch about 10 days ago, and has not eaten since I got it.

The guy at the LFS says it only eats a very specific type of sponge, so I have not invested in a sponge since I wasn't sure if it would eat it or not.

Anyone have ideas on what I should do? It just seems to be constantly searching the tank for food, and I feel awful. Any ideas on what they eat?

Thanks,
Todd

They eat a specific type of sponge, but I don't know which type...sorry can't help there.

Just an update for those that are interested. . . .

I kept the purple nudibranch I bought (even though I did not have the proper 'sponge' to feed it) and I hoped it would find something to eat.

It has been a little over three weeks now, and the purple nudibranch is doing just fine. I have it in a 10 gallon nano reef with 12 lbs of LR and about 15 hermits and 5 snails.

Has anyone else got one of these? I can't believe it has lasted this long.

Todd

Most marine species take weeks, if not months, to starve. Maybe yours is a freak and has taken to an alternate food source
