Is it necessary to quarantine a fish if they have been at the LFS for a few weeks, and have been in a tank by themselves the entire time?

Most fish store filter systems go to all tanks in the store so even though the fish has been there for weeks the store could have added new fish that were infected and hasn't shown up on your fish yet. ALWAYS qt all fish.

Also, they may be in tanks with copper at the lfs. Either leaving the copper or the stress of being captured, driven home, and re-introduced to a new environment may be an issue that causes new disease. QTing saves money and headaches IMO.
