Questions - missing goby and chemipure

Question one - i bought a sleeper goby and drip aclimated like i do all my fish. I transfered him in and he darted to my rock and burrowed a tunnel under some live rock. This was 3 days ago and I've never seen him again. Is he just hiding under there waiting to come out? Is this normal?

Question two - I've just added chemipure elite to my canister filter, am I supposed to remove the activated carbon or just run the two together? I cant find that info anywhere....

when my goby went in my burrow, i didnt see him for 3 days, he was dead :-(

Hmmm, any ideas with what might have caused his untimely death?

Something was definitely not right since sleeper gobies are active sifters. What are your water parameters? Sometimes fish can die with no explanation. Chemi pure elite is good to use in its entirety.
