raising SG

i want ot raise the SG of my tank. Right now it is at 1.021 and I would like it to be at 1.024. I know that this needs to be done slowly but can I just add a gal. or so of saltwater with a very high SG to my sump? raise it maybe a point every other day? Any other methods out there? thanks! Lando
