Red hair algae in sump...good/bad?

To my suprise, i looked into my sump/fuge the other day and found a lot of red hair algae thriving. Is this bad/good? Should i remove it?
 
If your going to have it thats the place you want it to grow, IMO leave it.
It is helping remove excess nutrients.
 
question: Is the red hair algae going to overtake my chaeto and kill it off?
