Hey All,

I just noticed Red Slime growing on the back of my overflow and spreading to my glass. Are there any tips I should know? Any effective treatments?

I'd really appreciate any input on the matter.

Thanks,
-Brodie

Cutting down DOC's and phosphate has cut my cyano problem significantly. I've been cleaning my skimmer every day.

Your first defense is water changes. Make sure you use high quality RO/DI water. During this time, evaluate your feedings. Make sure you rinse all frozen foods in RO/DI prior to adding to the tank and cut back feedings to once every two or three days. If, after several water changes, you are still having problems we can continue.
