Refugium Lights 12hrs??? 24hrs???

I have read that it may be a good idea to leave lights on in the refugium for all 24 hrs. What are thoughts on this? What methods do you use?

I keep mine on all the time. It helps the algae grow in there.

What type of macro do you have? I have chaeto and use a reverse lighting schedule. Other types of macro are recommended to be lit 24 hrs.

In my sump I have a ton of clerpa algae (sp?) and it does really good in there with all the light. We also have some amenomies poping up in there too.
