Removing CC

I have a FOWLR tank, and from what I am getting CC tends to be a problem....
1. How can I remove it (without removing everything else)
2. Can I take some out w/each PWC?
3. When I replace it w/LS, how do I put the LS in the tank so it doesn't cloud up or stress the fish?
