there are a ot of bubles rising up from my sand. if i look real close i can see them all over the sand bed and some on the lr. i can see 5 or 6 bubles rising up at the same time. sometimes it slows down a little, but not very much. is this just a lot denitrification?

Pretty much. The denitrification process involves many types of gases being the end result. It really depends on the depth of the sandbed but for the most part it's just nitrogen and CO2.

I don't watch the tank all day but I only see bubbles releasing from the sand once in a while. My nitrates are always 0 so I know the denitrification process is working. Are you getting any nitrate readings?
