Roofing work above reef tank

So we had a pretty big rainstorm out here in vegas a couple days ago and a leak in my room above my reef tank was found...the roofers are going to come fix it within this week but my question is what precautions should I take to make sure they don't get anything in my tank...it's a 55 gallon mixed reef been running for over 2 yrs so I can't really move it

A taped down sheet of heavy plastic over it should suffice
