Royal Gramma on vacation?

I haven't seen my Royal Gramma in the past two days. Usually, he would come out from his hiding spot when i feed the fish. But, i haven't seen him lately. So i'm thinking (a) he died peacefuly overnite, and the clean up crew has done its job. (b) he is on vacation some where in the tank for couple more days?

How long have you had it? When I introduced my first royal gramma it was MIA for about a week. I thought it died so I went and bought another one as soon as I had the second one acclimated to QT, my first one made an appearence. They can jump so look around your tank as well. Hope it turns up...Lando

I had this royal gramma for about 3 weeks. I looked around the tank, don't see him. Maybe he's under the sand :?

Not under the sand, but possibly in a hole in the rock. Mine hid a lot in the beginning.

After almost a year mine still hides a lot...comes out when he feels like it.
