So after some investigating the original pulls I wanted (seahorse and shell) both are still available! It's just a product lowes won't be carrying anymore. I'm sure I will have to wait until Monday to place my order. Hoping to get them by Friday! Will be finishing up some trim work next weekend, and attaching hinges! If there's time we will clean, leak test and possibly paint the back of the tank too! So excited its coming together now!

Got a lot done today! Started putting on trim, it's really tying it all together now!

Waiting to varnish before I attach doors. And my handles should arrive Monday!

Feel so accomplished today! Glad things are coming together finally!

That is a gorgeous tank. Jealous, it is going to look amazing.

Thanks! It's been a lot of hard work! There's some scratches on the glass we were worried about but we couldn't see them after we filled it. I may reinforce the silicone in some spots even though it didn't leak, it's an older tank so it has some ware.

My moms husband told me when we move next year (buying a house) we can find someone else to help! He was joking of course but everything is so heavy! My house will have to Accommodate my tank! Lol

Amazing !!! Looks awesome great job! Now build me one ;)

Lol, I just came up with the design. My moms husband has been the muscles of the entire project! We've just been the helping hands.

Hoping next year when we move we'll make another matching stand & canopy (mini version) for two 10gl side by side. My QT and frag tank.

You have a skill ill tell you that! I love the trim it reminds me of a rope very nautical! Inspired me to try to make my own stand ! Won't be nearly or even remotely as beautiful but i should start somewhere ! Lol

It is called rope trim. the trim that will cover the black trim on the tank has the rope look too!

Look what I got today!!! Two of each!!! So excited!

Very nice. If they're from the same manufacture as the ones i got you'll have to shorten the screws no biggie for you judging by all the great craftsmanship in your stand

Hickory hardware? I actually will need longer ones for the canopy (have to go through a 2X4!) and shorter ones for the stand doors. Can't win lol. So glad I got these!

Well sometimes in life the unexpected happens and you have to prioritize! The unexpected happened to us a few weeks ago! My husbands transmission went in his car so the finishing touches on the stand are on hold as we dish out $1,700 for the car! :-(

Started varnishing yesterday! We also for the first time put everything together! Well almost everything, the trim that will cover the black trim on the tank will not be attached until we mover her to her Permanent resting place!

what stocking list are you thinking of?

I'm not sure of all of it yet. I know I'm moving a few of my fav corals (I will eventually sell my 55gl) and I will transfer my coral banded shrimp, six line wrasse, and my fire fish. Oh and my longest tank resident my sand sifting star (Sinatra)! Lol

New plans include a pair of exotic clowns (either a type of Picasso or Wyoming whites) and I really want a powder blue tang! And I'll pick an angel at some point but not sure on type yet. Think I'll have more tank than I know what to do! Lol any suggestions? Keep in mind I still consider myself new to the hobby so I don't want to get into anything that's hard to keep.
