I think I heard that it needs a lot of very intense light. I tried it in my 55 with 260w of PC and it didnt grow were everything else grows very good. Are you going to put it in your fuge as nutrient export? if so id say its not worth it because of the light. Im sure someone else will help you out about how much light it needs.

Lots of Light

No, I'm not going to put it in my tank because I only have 60 watts of fluorescent lights and I don't have room to add more. I put live rock in my tank before and some coral for low lighting, but they died and I felt horrible. Plus I got a photobloom that lasted almost over a year. You could barley see in my tank. I used silica sand (bad idea). I took that out and added fine crushed coral and changed my salt. Since then it looks great. Is there any other type of marine plant that you could suggest for 60 watts?
