I'm going to the store today to go on my shopping spree lol.

But is a uv gonna be worth it for my 75 reef tank?

I know I'm getting a hob protein skimmer but that's all I know.

I don't use one on my tanks either. have had no issues without it so I would vote no on it being "needed". :)

Then I will not waste the money! Any suggestions on any other equipment I should get

Since you are going reef I would really suggest getting the best skimmer you can for the money you have budgeted. A skimmer rated at double your tank volume would be a good place to start. So one rated for 125g to 150g would be my first purchase.

What do you have for filtration? Circulation ie: powerheads? Lighting?

A great idea is to get yourself a refractometer for testing salinity ($30 on ebay) and a good liquid test kit.

Ya protein skimmer is priority #1 but filter I have a fx5 and an aqua clear 110 that I put different media in.

Lighting I just have a 2 bulb t5 at the moment but I know aquatic life is coming out with a LED fixture to replace their 6 bulb T5 that I'm gonna get when it comes out

That's what I got
