Shrimp

Hi All,

I have recently (about a week ago) brought a blood shrimp and a cleaner shrimp for my 94 litre aquarium but they don't seem to be very active or adventurous. Every time I see them they are either hanging on to the side of the aquarium or holding on to the aquarium cleaner, both are towards the top of the aquarium. I'm wondering if there is any way I can get them to be a bit more adventurous and wonder around on the rock or whether they have sensed some sort of threat that I'm not aware of?

Many thanks,

Daniel Bell

They tend to be timid when you first out them. The cleaner is pretty social but the blood shrimp can be very timid

Your cleaner shrimp will get more adventurous, mine took a couple weeks to really come out & about during the day. The blood shrimp, however, is more of a nocturnal critter.... you may see him peek out once in a while, especially at feeding time, but he won't come out nearly as much during the day.
