I posted a description of some slime in my aquarium and was told that I had "bacterial slime." Is this the same as slime algae? If no, it bacterial slime dangerous to my tank, or just more of a nuisance (I have to scrub the filter lines very frequently, etc).

Thanks.

Slime algae is a cyanobacteria. So yes, bacterial slime is the same as slime algae. It can be dangerous to coral, especially stony coral. You can use either Chemi-Clean or Red slime Remover to get rid of it. Use as directed.
