I have not seen this issue addressed here before. Once or twice a day, a pretty large quantity of something that looks like wispy light-colored smoke trickles up from one or more of the holes in my live rock. It dissipates pretty fast, so it has not caused a problem.

Anybody have any ideas what might be done there.

Its some life form burrowed into the rock, excreting waste. Happens several times a day in my tank. Totally normal.

Someone else will have a better idea of what creature it might be.

Thanks, Malkore. I wish I knew what kind of critter it is. I puts out more waste than everybody else in the tank combined.

I've been told that spaghetti worms do that quite a bit. I've also seen some spew from my clams from time to time. It is almost always happening somewhere in my tank!
