Snail population explosion! Will a starfish eat them?

I have literally hundreds of tiny snails in my 55gal FOWRL tank. Most are about the size of a BB or smaller. They multiply faster than I can remove them. Is there any type of snail predator that I can introduce that won't harm the live rock? I was thinking about trying a choclate chip starfish, but I'm concerned about the live rock and don't like the idea of not being able to introduce any corals in the future. The only fish I have are two tomato clowns and a pair of damsels. Should I just get a starfish for now and get rid of it if I decide to do corals? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Kevin

If they are good snails why kill them, they will either die due to lack of food which will feed your hermits, see if you can get credit at lfs, I have heard chocolate chips will destroy coral, serpent stars (except green) are good addition and will not harm corals

Agree, pick em out.
Adding preditors can many times be counterproductive.

They are not hurting anything and will help clean your tank
