do your snails usually hang out near the top of the tank? mine are right on the water line and have been there since i got them yesterday.

Mine depend on which ones. My Atreas/Turbos always hang out on the rock. My Nassarius burrow in the sand, and chill around the base of the walls. I think it depends on where the algae is and where they can get their food. They'll go all over the place, don't worry

I look at where I want them to go and they go the other way. They are like my dog, they go where the food is and the definition of food is a very loose one.
