Got most of the stuff out. Figured out the lights. But 2 bulbs will not come on. Not sure why yet. Just need to figure out how the skimmer works and then take the sump out and clean it.

Looks like you got alot of good stuff there. Reef octopus is a great skimmer and you even have an ATO. Great deal.

And got skimmer together and running in the sink to make sure I understand how it works. Was kinda simple.

Grrrrr..... The woman is making this hard on me.

Trying to draw out what I want the tank to look like. And came up with like 5 ways that would look awesome. But then she comes up with this off the wall idea of raised rocks off the bottom of the tank. So now I have to redraw it all out again.

What she is looking for is were we will have the 3-4 in. Deep sand bed and then about 2in above that is were the rocks will be. So looks like I will be rigging something up for it any way now. Just Tring to find a way to no make all the weight on small points and being able to build it up from there.

What is the egg crate stuff called. Cus I will be needed to pick up some of that I think to make this work. :-/. Time to get creative.

Egg crate is generally available at the hardware store in the lighting section. It isn't that strong, so be cautious. It is possible to bring rocks crashing down and killing your favorite fish, so be sure your foundation is sound.

Yea. Was planning on using decent sized PVC pipe to hold it all up and make it look like rock colums under te main part. Still a work in progress. Any ideas people have would be great. Lol

Lol. A co worker of mine is now about to buy a 180g tank after seeing and talking with me. Lol.

He found some led lights on eBay. The maker is growflux.

120w system. Says it can replace a 250w system. Would these light be good for him. Think the tank was 2 ft. Tall. Kinda wondering if they would be good for mine as well. It's 30in tall. He wants to do a reef.

So ro unit is coming in tomorrow.  getting excited and should be getting another 3000$ check next week and have found the dry Rock I want to use. So looks like I will be starting the build up very soon.

Plan on getting an auto doser. And a controller to monitor everything to make sure everything will stay were it should be at. But will prob still get everything up and running before and start the process and then once I get to the point of starting to add the nice corals and fish will have it all in place by then.
