Some good skimmer reviews

I found this informative site that may help anyone, like myself , that is in the market for a protein skimmer.

I think I will go with the Aqua Medic Turboflotor T1000 which is of the needle type suitably sized for my 55 gal up and coming reef tank. Any opinions, advice?

The only two skimmers i have used is the prizm skimmer (classic model) and the seaclone.

were you happy with them? low maintenance, pump requirements, noise level, cleaning

Are they the venturi type?

Sorry for all the questions but I need to make a decision soon.

Ya i was happy with both.

Some say the prizm is loud but I did not find it to be unbearable for a ventri style skimmer. They are both sub $80 skimmers with the pump. Often people compair them to a berlin classic or something and its really not a fair compairson becaues the berlin classic is alot more expensive.

Here are three skimmer reviews from this site

I wish more members would contribute reviews.
