"Spill back" fuges. Anybody use this design?

I've seen a fuge where the return is a spill back design. Like a jacuzzi that spills back into the pool. Sounds effective. Anybody ever use this design? TIA

That is how most books I have read recommend setup. Having the fuge above the main and gravity feed back allows for pods and such to easily flow to the main as food.
