Spiny sea urchin standstill?

I've got a sea urchin about 2 days ago. I but him in the tank and has not moved a inch since. I heard once they start shedding there dying. Mines not shedding... What's going on?

give him time he'll be all over the place this guy wont stay in one spot long enough so I can grab it
this is about 12th one I found in this tank they become annoying knocking things over
here he try's to grab my candy cane
