Ssubstrate for Banded Bamboo Shark

I'm seting up a tank for a banded bamboo shark and am trying to figure out weather to go with CC or sand for the substrate? Any suggestions? The shark is pretty low key and shouldn't eat other fish as long as they can't fit in it's mouth. I am not plannin on having a lot of fish besides the shark. Possibly 2 additional. Are there sand cleaners that aren't small. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

sand the cc will hurt the soft skin of the sark. just wondering what size tank is he going to be in?
