Starting my sump

I know that lol, i have two powerheads and a hob penguin with filterfloss in it, rinse it ever couple days, and work thru 8 gallons of top offs and water changes every 10 days. It costs me about8 bucks a week for water, im going to wait untill my bigger pump comes in to hook up the sump to ky tank, i was just curious to see if the 260 would pump at 4 ft of head and it does, just super low flow

I could make a 1/2" pvc overflow? I dont quite get what you mean i believe my pump will be pumping max with head high just under 300 gph, i also have a 200 gph pump coming in from ebay i could throw in as well.. Ive made my own skimmer works like a charm, so no money spent there, does my intake into the sump have to flow less then my return pump?
