Sump tank

Hello I just added a protein skimmer to my sump I had to raise the water level now my bio balls are submerged I was wondering what I should do with them maybe replace with that Fiji mud? I need some advice please

Miracle mud hasn't been proven to do anything beneficial or be anything more than mud from someone's back yard.
If there isn't a trickle over the bioballs, then they aren't working as intended and can easily be removed for some other type of filtration as you would see fit.

You could set up a simple fuge with some macro algae, or just throw some more lr in there
