I recently upgraded to an 55 gal from 30 gal. The larger tank was a friend who still had fish, sand, lr etc. I had to remove the water for moving, but I kept the sand inside and moist from remaining water in tank, I kept lr wet in bags with remaining tank water. I kept all filters the same. Now, doing that and adding new water with salt as recommended how long should it take to cycle, since actually the tank is seasoned already? The fish etc. are in my 30 gal until the 55 is ready and doing very well. Thank you in advance. :thanks:

I would dose pure ammonia to 4ppm and test tomorrow. If ammonia and nitrite are 0ppm, then you are cycled and can move the livestock over. Maybe a pwc if the nitrates are high.
