Teddybear Crab Question

Is this crab reef safe? I have a buddy that was told by an online dealer that they are safe for reef tanks. But, I gave him some Yellow Polyps and no sooner does he add them to his tank does this crab come over and snatch 2 handfulls (Clawfulls) of yellows and runs behind some rocks with it. Then he came back out and grabbed some more. He left them all in a couple of piles behind the rocks, like its Fung Shui or something.

They are omnivores and will even eat fish.

Thanks Bang Guy, but Does anyone else have any experience with these crabs? Any info on them will be a big help.
