Temperature Questions.

Okay, I cant put 2 + 2 together here. Please help figuring me with this logicm

200g w/ 65g sump against an outside wall with a closed blind windowright against it.

32g Biocube. Same room inside wall 30ft across the same room. Stock everything.

Biocube temp = 80F
DT = 70F

I get the obvious. I don't want to drop more than bio is worth on a chiller for it. I'm also super confused be the temp diff so far way in diff parts of the same room. Seriously, the math confuses Watson.

Thoughts?

Equipment will raise temp .

Using a Mag drive pump ?That's 4 degrees above room temp right there....
Lights may have some effect also not set up properly.

In addition to the above, the Biocube’s pump and filter are self contained and there is no where for heat to dissipate. The sump on the 200g is external allowing for heat dissipation.
Also, there is the difference of volume and surface area between the tanks.
You could try something low tech and run a fan on the biocube and see if that helps bring the temps down. Or keep the lid open.

Prop the lid up to get more fresh room air into the system.
