test kit?

just wondering what the difference between a freshwater test kit and a salt water test kit is? i have a brand new fw kit and it has ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph high and low, and i was wondering if i could use that. i would think that those things would be the same in both types of tanks.

Some kits come with a fw and sw readings chart so if yours does; then I suppose its not all that bad. I would suggest getting something a little more specific for you sw tank because you need accurate readings.

I had a FW kit and I think only 1 test works in SW. read the box.
