How do I test sand to make sure it's not sicila? I sa wit on here once but did a search and didn't find it. :?

Ok, back from testing. no fizz :( . I guess that's a bad thing. I'm gonna call the company tomorrow and see just what it's made of. Does it matter what kind of vinegar? :?

Yep thats that I used when i made that compairson.

Its more the PH value of the vinegar than what the vingar is made of.

Just cause the sand is not argonite based it does not mean its bad stuff. Whats the average particle size of the sand?

Well guy's the debate is over. I got 40 lbs of "reef sand" and I'm mixing it with 40 lbs of "play sand" and I'll have enough for both my tanks. Thanks for all your help.

Hey Fishfreek,

Can we get a "sticky thread" that has all the links like that one? It sure would help people like me that can't figure out the search engine  .
