Thoughts - What to run in my reactor 550?

I would run carbon and or Purigen. Unless you have a Hanna meter or something like it, chemical tests with color matching really doesn't see Phosphate levels down to where you really need to be. A level of even .07 or above can cause polyps to not open. And that level is hard to see without a meter. You want to be under .05 for best results for most corals IMO, but especially LPS and SPS ones. Running a "polisher" like a reactor with carbon and or Purigen can knock that level down closer to actual zero.
