I want to start a bit of coral farming in my 30G, but I need your advice for Ideas to see what can increase the growth of corals. I am specificaly interested in filter feeders corals (sea rods, Chili Coral, fans...etc). For exemple, the calcium has to be between 400-440. But what else?? Level of Alk (about 10-12?)? What else could boost the growth?? I am feeding the coral with Kent Phytoplex the more often that I can without having any effect on algae and water quality (3Times/week)...
And also how can I know when it's time to divide a coral???
Does a Big coral has a higher growing speed than 2 little???
For exemple, I bought a Chili Coral (strawberry coral) 2month ago and it was about 3inch, now it is at about 4in(meaby 4.5). Should I frage it in 2 parts or only frag a little piece of it or should I just wait for it too grow larger???
