UGLY algae

all of a sudden im having this massive bloom of brown slime algae!!! and i dont know what to do!! all my readings are normal. this has been going on for like a week, i cut back on food and on how long i turn on the lights for, i gravel vaced and did a water change and it STILL WONT GO AWAY!!! its encrusting my LR now, and im getting a little worried! my astrea snails are OBLIVIOUS to it, and i dont know what to do! help!!!

How long has your tank been cycled?

What is your circulation level at? Low levels of water flow can contribute to algae.

As a temporary measure, I would use a turkey baister on the rock to remove the slime. Either that or a power head.
