Using higher watt bulbs?

I currently have 2x50w right now, are you able to add higher wattage bulbs without damaging the fixture? I plan on going the MH route when i build my large tank, but id like to have some more powerful lighting for my QT.

nope, whatever it says on the fixture is the max. i think if you go higher, you might start a fire or something, or just get a short circuit.
