VHO lamps

has anyone used any 46.5" VHO lamps? is there any difference between them and a regular 48" VHO? my canopy is only 48.75" on the inside so i was uncertain if the regular 48's would fit. any help is appreciated

I've used the sorties before, they are the same. I imagine if you were to test it, they produce a few more lumens per inch, but the same or very close the same overall as their longer counterparts.

I would go with the 46.5s. that way you can guarentee they fit.

thanks for the advice. i have decided to go with a 4 lamp 46.5" retrofit. 2 50/50 atinic whites and 2 super atinic . its alot of light but my tank loves it
