I was working on my tank, and my hands were not in the water, so there is no way any splashes occured. However, I heard a VERY loud pop, which was accompanied by a very bright flash, and my halides went out. I thought that maybe they poped and burned out. However they were in tact. I turned off the master switch, and left it for a half hour. Then I turned it back on, and they are operating like nothing ever happed. Anybody had anything like this happen before?

I figured it out. The fan was loosely wired, and the negative wire touched the aluminum reflector, which acted as a ground, causing a short. That must have drawn current from the circuit cuasing the underpowerd halides to turn them selves off. Fun stuff huh??
