What comes first?

i plan to get both fish and coral in the future, but which one should i get first? does it really matter or make a difference? any advice is appreciated!

Fish first. Coral should only go into a well established system. Just be careful in your fish choices if you want coral.

You can add fish after your tank cycles. You will be going through various nuisance algae outbreaks while your tank matures. Keep your water quality high and these will fade with time. If all is going well you can add your Corals 3-6 months down the road.
