What filtration for 38?

Hi, I'm new to Saltwater. I still haven't bought my tank, but I picked it out. Which filtration should I use for a 38Long? I've been thinking about using sand, which would cancel an undergravel filter. What would you suggest?

Will your budget allow for a bigger tank? I would go with the biggest your wallet can afford in this hobby. I have learned over the years the hard way. You will be limited on what livestock you can have.

definitely use sand and live rock. Look it up. I suggest Michael Paletta's The New Marine Aquarium. Undergravel filters are a nightmare, I know, I used a ugf for my first set-up.
