I am wanting to get into the corals thing here. My sg is currently at 1.021 and it always has been since 5 years ago. It looks like i need to get to 1.023 eventually and was wondering how to do that. I should probly go really slowly since i have a orange sea star that i have read is very intolerable to sg changes and also noticed recommended for him is also 1.023. Any ideas of the best way to do this?

nice and slow is always the best but a lot of people keeping corals keep theres sg at 1.025 but yeah do it slowly.

Just go slowly and mix in 5 gallon buckets keeping temp right. If you mix it in the buckets to just a bit higher than the level in your tank you can do water changes pouring in the new level from the buckets. Just do a bit at a time considering you are not rushing straight into corals. It won't take long to bring it up a bit. Even if it took a week with PWC every 2 days.
