Which water pump for Aqua C Remora Protein Skimmer?

I recently picked up an AquaC Remora Protein skimmer from a garage sale. The owner said I will need a pump for it, and I was wondering what is the cheapest pump I can purchase to make this skimmer functional?

Thanks!
Rob

You can use a maxijet 1200 or a rio 1700.

Those both look like great affordable options. I am wondering if that is all I need to make the skimmer functional? Do I need a powerhead elsewhere in the tank as well?

You should have a powerhead in the tank anyways.

But yeah, the remora will work just fine with either of the options I just mentioned above. I run mine on a rio1100, just took it out a few minutes ago to clean it. lol

But a 1400 or 1200MJ is the recommended pump.
