Will a hydor slim skim fit on a 20 long

Trying to put equipment together for a 20 long sump and trying to decide on a skimmer. Was leaning toward the slim skim. Reg not nano and it is 17 inches high. Long 12 inches. I know some of the slim skim can be above water. Would it work or will the long be too shallow. If it won't work what would be good at about a similar price. The dt is 29 gallon
