Will my goby jump?

I plan on getting a Tiger watchman goby for my reef tank. The tank has no lid and I want to know if the goby would jump out of the tank?

Any fish can jump. Probably best to get something in between the fish and the floor.

I know any fish can jump, but aren’t some usually more inclined to do so than others?

Bottom dwelling gobies are skittish, so they have a chance to jump. The saving grace is usually that they tend to stay in the sandbed. But most gobies have this tendency. If it is something you are concerned about, I'd look into getting a screen for the top.

I had a pink spotted goby that was 14 years old that decided to jump one day. The answer is yes gobies will jump.
